Nidra is a wellness and relaxation app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you keep. We collect as little as we can, and we never sell your data.
Who we are
Nidra ("we") provides AI-generated yoga nidra (NSDR) relaxation sessions. For privacy questions, contact us at privacy@nidra.rest.
What we collect
Account data: your email, name, and authentication details. Wellness inputs: your mood check-ins, journal entries, and chat messages with Luna. These wellness inputs may reveal information about your mental wellbeing, so under EU law (GDPR Art. 9) they are "special category" data and we only process them with your explicit consent, given separately at sign-up.
Why we use it
To create and personalize your sessions, to operate your account and subscription, and to send you service emails. We do not use your wellness inputs for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
Who processes it for us
We use a small set of processors strictly to run the service: Supabase (database & authentication), Stripe (payments — we never see your card number), Resend (transactional email), and AI providers — Groq and Google (Gemini) to generate session scripts, and Google and ElevenLabs to generate the spoken voice. We minimize what we send them and do not retain prompts beyond what is needed to produce your session.
Legal basis (EU/UK)
For wellness inputs: your explicit consent (Art. 9). For account and billing: performance of our contract with you. For service emails: our legitimate interest in operating the service.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data, and withdraw your consent at any time — withdrawing consent stops future processing of your wellness inputs without affecting what happened before. Email privacy@nidra.rest and we will action your request. EU/UK users may also complain to their data protection authority.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where law requires us to keep limited records (e.g., billing).
International transfers
Some processors operate outside your country (e.g., the US). Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Not a medical service
Nidra is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, including insomnia, anxiety, or any sleep or mental-health disorder. It is not a substitute for sleep or for professional medical advice.
